This thread is amazing.Skeeter's usually had someone playing the banjo and singing, complete with overalls and straw hat. .Sci-fi city had a totally different feel.Thanks Tom., I'll try to find the song.I totally remember that place.Sorta in the parking lot of that 8-story building that used to be the main offices of Darden Restaurants.So, we would get dropped off at the mall, wait for the car to leave, then run across the street and wander around Infinite Mushroom, feeling like we were oh so cool.That place was soo freakin good.Incense, tarot cards, you get the picture.There was also Y106 before XL kicked in There was an all you can eat pizza restaurant on 436 in Altamonte near where chipolte now is, can't remember the name There was an ice skating rink on West Colonial Drive past.There was another one @ Ferncreek and Michigan (Johnny's Fillin' Station).Ronnie's Restaurant at the old Colonial Mall - Orlando's premiere NY style deli/old folks hangout!Strip-club bought and renamed Diamond Club.I used to buy sheet music there.The one I remember most is on University. .
O and I used to work at that Wags/Perrys in the Altamonte Mall.
I still get compliments on the necklaces I got there (brass chains with little papier mache red peppers).
